Guide To Anonymity

Disclaimer: This is for education purposes only

Before we begin I would like to say that ALL OF THIS IS 100% FREE also I would like to warn you that after you finish this my goal is to make you as invisible as possible on the internet and off the internet. Currently if people were searching through your computer they would find all your cookies, ip addresses, logs of all websites, FTP servers, your computers id name, your physical location, ect... so as you can see you're currently very vulnerable on the internet.

PROXY SERVRES

What is a proxy server?
Every time you visit a web site, detailed information about your system is automatically provided to the webmaster. This information can be used by hackers to exploit your computer or can be forwarded to the market research departments of consumer corporations who by tracking your activities on the internet are better equipped to direct more relevant spam at you. Your best defense against this is to use what is known as a proxy server, which will hide revealing information from the web sites you visit, allowing you to surf the web anonymously. These work by altering the way in which your browser retrieves web pages or connects to remote servers. With a proxy server set up, whenever you 'ask' IE or Netscape to look at a web page, the request is first sent through an external server which is completely independent of your ISP's servers. This third party server then does the requesting on your behalf so that it appears that the request came from them rather than you and your real IP address is never disclosed to the sites you visit. There is nothing to download and the whole process takes less than a minute.

WEB BASED SERVICES

What this involves is visiting the proxy's home page each time you want to browse a web site anonymously. The core component of such a system is the dialog box where you enter the address of the web site you want to visit. Each time you enter the URL of the site you want to browse via the proxy into this box, your personal information, IP address and so on is first encrypted before being sent to the site allowing you to maintain your anonymity. Two of the best examples of this type of web based proxy service are Code:hxxp://www.rewebber.com/ and hxxp://www.anonymizer.com/

TOR

What you can also use to surf anonymously and what I recommend more then proxies is TOR. TOR Browser is an anonymous version of whatever browser you use. I use firefox so I downloaded the firefox version.https://www.torproject.org/download/download-easy.html.en It is a simple setup and pretty self explanatory. If you are having trouble just comment and ill make a thread all about TOR.

VPN's

First off these VPN's are okay, but i recommend you buy one. But for now we can stick to the free ones. A VPN is a Virtual Private Network and basically changes what your up looks like so people can't get it without actually changing your ip.. Their isn't to much to say about VPN's you kinda just download them and install it and bam you're done

FREE VPN's
ifreevpn.exe (http://download.exdat.com/file/ifreevpn.exe/index-817.html)
Surf anonymously - Download now and use for free | CyberGhost VPN (http://www.cyberghostvpn.com/en_us)
Free VPN Service | Free VPN Software - Hotspot Shield VPN (http://www.hotspotshield.com/)
KEYLOGGING

Key logging is when someone can view every keystroke or button you press on your computer. Very simple. To be protected from this you can download QFX Software - Download KeyScrambler (http://www.qfxsoftware.com/download.htm)
which excryptes everyone of your keystrokes. For example if you type a password it can change it to random keys like h/[email protected]*.

Im sure you can find other ways but these are just a few! I hope all of my ABH friends and everyone is now anonymous and safe
