Evil Twin Attack Using Wifi-Phisher (Range Problem?)

So I've been working with a program called Wifi-Phisher on my Kali linux machine.
I launched the attack on my own network for testing.
I then took another laptop(victim) and moved away far enough.
I moved the laptop 10 meters away and realized that there's no connection to the evil twin network.

What's the point of this attack if I can't have enough range for the victim to connect the network?
Is there some wireless adapters that support a wide range?

And yes, my wireless adapter supports packet injection.
